Born in Marseille she studied German Philology and Music at the University of Marseille. She continued her musical studies in Paris, Vienna (as student of Maria Cebotari), Salzburg and Milan. She started her musical career in Vienna in 1948. Guest performances brought her to various cities in Europe, Egypt and Israel. Her career was at height in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In 1961 and 1962 she was a regular performer at the Friedrichsstadt-Palast in East Berlin and also performed in the DEFA-movie "Das Mädchen auf dem Titelblatt". She retired from the stage in the 1990s after the death of her husband and lived her last years at Corsica.- Composer
